We are thrilled to announce that Norman Lonhard (ex- Triptykon, Fear My Thoughts, Pigeon Toe) will take over the drumseat for gurD! He is also a drum teacher and has his own school ( www.musikstation.net ).

We know each other for a long time and can’t wait to destroy stages all over the world with him!
First show will be at the Megamosh Festival in Lucerne, April 4th where Steve will pass the sticks to Norm during the show. Be there & give him a hot welcome!

With a heavy heart we have to spread the news that our longtime friend and drummer Steve decided to call it quits.
Thanx to him for all his incredible drumming over the last 16 years and good luck for his future!
He will do all the shows until spring 2026, so make sure to catch him one last time on stage with us!

Statement from Steve:
After almost exactly 16 years, I will be leaving GurD. We had an amazing time, with many high-energy shows and lots of shared laughter. A big thank you goes to the loyal fans who have supported us all these years. Nevertheless, I want to take a step back for a while and focus on my other two bands, Messiah and Still Slayer. I wish V.O., Pat, and Franky all the best and many more groovy years with a new drummer.
